The West Pasaman Regency Government, West Sumatra, has signed a\nRegional Grant Agreement (NPHD) regarding land for the implementation of\nthe Integrated National School (SNT) programme in collaboration with the\nMinistry of Primary and Secondary Education.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe NPHD was signed on Thursday (30\/7) in Tangerang, Banten,\nalongside the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. We hope the\nSNT will soon be established in West Pasaman,\u201d said the Regent of West\nPasaman, Yulianto, in Simpang Empat on Saturday.<\/p>\n
According to the Regent, West Pasaman is recorded as one of 16\nregencies\/cities in Indonesia that have completed all administrative\nrequirements for the construction of the SNT. He noted that the SNT\nprogramme is an implementation of Presidential Instruction Number 10 of\n2026, which aims to establish centres of educational excellence in\nvarious regions across Indonesia.<\/p>\n
As a demonstration of readiness, the West Pasaman Regency Government\nhas provided 20 hectares of land in Muara Kiawai, Gunung Tuleh District.\nThe land is held under freehold status and is certified in the name of\nthe local government. The location proposed by the West Pasaman\ngovernment previously underwent assessment and field verification by a\nteam from the Directorate General of Early Childhood, Primary, and\nNon-formal and Informal Education under the Ministry of Primary and\nSecondary Education. The verification results declared the site suitable\nfor the priority construction category for the SNT in\n20226<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The Regent described the SNT programme as an integrated educational\nzone that will be equipped with modern facilities, including classrooms,\ndormitories, sports facilities, laboratories, libraries, and various\nother supporting infrastructure. In 2026, the central government targets\nthe construction of SNTs in 37 regencies\/cities, with a budget\nallocation of approximately Rp250 billion to Rp300 billion per region,\nfully funded by the State Budget (APBN) through the Ministry of Primary\nand Secondary Education.<\/p>\n The physical tender process is targeted to begin in October 2026,\nonce all administrative and technical requirements are declared\ncomplete. Out of the 12 required documents set by the ministry, the West\nPasaman Regency Government has fulfilled most provisions. Currently, two\ndocuments remain in the final stages of completion: the land subdivision\ncertificate and the Spatial Planning Conformity (KKPR) document.<\/p>\n He emphasised the local government\u2019s commitment to aligning all\ntechnical and administrative aspects to ensure construction proceeds\naccording to schedule. \u201cThis is a great opportunity for West Pasaman. We\nare ready to complete all remaining requirements. The presence of the\nSNT is expected to expand community access to quality education while\nproducing a superior and competitive generation,\u201d he expressed.<\/p>\n He assessed that the construction of the SNT is not only a long-term\ninvestment in human resources but will also provide a positive impact on\nthe regional economy. \u201cWe want the children of West Pasaman to have\naccess to excellent education without having to leave the region. The\nSNT will serve as a modern educational centre that remains rooted in\nlocal culture. Furthermore, its construction will create jobs and\nincrease activity in the service and trade sectors in the Muara Kiawai\narea,\u201d he added.<\/p>",
