        "content": "<p>Manokwari (ANTARA) - The West Papua Provincial Industry and Trade\nOffice (Disperindag) is enhancing the capacity of micro, small, and\nmedium enterprise (MSME) actors through technical guidance to produce\ncreative and competitive export products.<\/p>\n<p>Governor of West Papua Dominggus Mandacan in Manokwari on Tuesday\nsaid that increasing the capacity of MSME actors is a strategic step to\nstrengthen the regional economic sector, particularly through the\ndevelopment of foreign trade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe development of MSME products will run optimally if business\nactors have the ability to process and create high-value products,\u201d said\nDominggus.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, West Papua has great potential from various\nflagship commodities such as fisheries, forestry, to processed products\nbased on natural resources, which are considered capable of competing\nwith other products in the global market.<\/p>\n<p>This potential must be supported by the capabilities of each business\nactor to improve product quality, expand market access through the\nutilisation of digital technology, and financial management.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany MSME actors still face obstacles, starting from limited\ninfrastructure, logistics, and minimal understanding of export\nproducts,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Head of West Papua Disperindag Bondan Santoso explained that the\nimplementation of the technical guidance aims to enhance the ability of\nbusiness actors in creating increasingly innovative, creative, and\nhighly competitive products.<\/p>\n<p>The technical guidance featured a number of resource persons from\nvarious agencies, including export product standardisation experts from\nthe Ministry of Trade, representatives from Bank Indonesia, academics,\nand the Manokwari Customs Office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe activity participants consist of MSME actors in Manokwari and\nrepresentatives from several districts in West Papua,\u201d said Bondan.<\/p>\n<p>He hopes that through capacity building, MSME actors will not only be\nable to survive in the local market but also develop into exporters\ncapable of competing in the international market and contributing to\nregional economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMSME actors are also equipped with understanding related to export\nprocedures and regulations so they can meet international market\nstandards,\u201d said Bondan.<\/p>",
