        "content": "<p>West Kalimantan Governor Ria Norsan has signed a memorandum of\nunderstanding (MoU) for an International Scholarship Programme and\nsimultaneously launched a High School Distance Learning Programme for\n2026 at SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak. \u201cThis programme is a collaboration with\nthe Yongzhou Polytechnic Institute, China, aimed at expanding access to\neducation and improving the quality of West Kalimantan\u2019s human resources\nto compete at the global level. Today\u2019s agenda marks the start of two\nstrategic programmes with the same goal, namely expanding access and\nimproving the quality of education for the young generation of West\nKalimantan,\u201d said Ria Norsan in Pontianak on Thursday. He appreciated\nthe initiative of Commission II of the Indonesian House of\nRepresentatives member Rifqinizamy Karsayuda, who opened up\ninternational education opportunities for West Kalimantan students\nthrough the scholarship programme. According to Norsan, the\ncollaboration not only increases the capacity of the younger generation\nbut also serves as part of educational diplomacy that strengthens\nrelations between Indonesia and China. Meanwhile, Rifqinizamy Karsayuda\nstated that the programme provides 10 full scholarships for outstanding\nstudents to study at the Yongzhou Polytechnic Institute. According to\nhim, the programme not only offers the opportunity to study abroad but\nalso opens access to employment through partnerships with multinational\ncompanies that have networks in various countries. \u201cThis programme not\nonly improves students\u2019 technical competencies but also broadens their\nglobal insights,\u201d he said. Minister of Primary and Secondary Education\nAbdul Mu\u2019ti, who attended the MoU signing in person, appreciated the\nprogramme as it aligns with the government\u2019s efforts to expand access to\nquality education through multi-party collaboration. In addition to the\ninternational scholarship programme, the West Kalimantan Provincial\nGovernment also launched a High School Distance Learning Programme to\nexpand access to educational services for students across various\nregions in West Kalimantan.
