West Java thriumps in Coke Cup<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): West Java thrashed Maluku 4-0 to win Group D of
\nthe National Coke Cup Under-15 soccer tournament in Surabaya
\nyesterday. Aceh was the group's runner-up, routing West
\nKalimantan 6-0.<\/p>\n
Jakarta topped Group C yesterday, drubbing South Sulawesi 6-0.
\nWest Sumatra, another Group C team, crushed North Sulawesi 4-0 to
\nclinch the runner-up position.<\/p>\n
Their resounding victory, however, did not get West Sumatra
\ninto the top six teams advancing to the second round. Central
\nJava, after playing a goalless match against West Sumatra the day
\nbefore, had already made it to the second round.<\/p>\n
Yesterday matches played at the Brawijaya and Simomulyo
\npitches marked the end of the qualifying round that began last
\nWednesday. The second round will also be played in Surabaya on
\nSept. 1.<\/p>\n
Teams advancing to the second round will be split into two
\ngroups.<\/p>\n
The first group, Group K, will consists of Jakarta, Aceh and
\nEast Java. The second group, Group L, groups West Java, South
\nSulawesi and Central Java.<\/p>\n
West Java will take on South Sulawesi and defending champion
\nEast Java will challenge Aceh. The annual soccer meet is
