        "content": "<p>Bandung - The West Java Regional Police are preparing traffic\nre-engineering to anticipate congestion and vehicle build-up towards Si\nJalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, during the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026,\nscheduled from 25 September to 5 October 2026.<\/p>\n<p>West Java Regional Police Head of Public Relations, Kombes Pol Hendra\nRochmawan, stated that the force has divided the arterial routes leading\nto the stadium area into six security zones, involving 156\npersonnel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese six zones are guarded by 156 personnel, stretching from the\nKopo Flyover, Sayati, Katapang, and Soreang, up to the stadium gates and\nGajah Mekar area,\u201d Hendra said in Bandung on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Hendra noted that field personnel are prepared to implement several\ntraffic security schemes, ranging from road sterilisation and\ncheckpoints to escorting the movement of player buses and supporters\ntowards the stadium.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe recognise that this international-scale event brings both pride\nand challenges to West Java. Therefore, through Operation Garuda Bakti\n2026, we are prioritising preemptive and preventive measures, supported\nby firm law enforcement,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Hendra emphasised that the police will not tolerate security\ndisturbances during the tournament, including street crime, thuggery, or\npotential friction between supporters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe safety of players, officials, and the public is our top\npriority, as we continue to learn from past tragedies to ensure they do\nnot recur,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the stadium area, security will also be tightened at\nseveral hotels serving as accommodation for delegations, including the\nPullman Bandung Grand Central, Crowne Plaza, Trans Luxury, and Hilton\nBandung.<\/p>\n<p>The West Java Regional Police have also placed 125 personnel from the\nBandung City Police at four training locations for the Group B national\nteams, namely Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Pakistan. These\ntraining sites include Arcamanik Field, Saraga ITB, Sidolig Field, and\nUnpad Field.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Hendra mentioned that, overall, the West Java Regional\nPolice are preparing a combined force of 2,026 personnel to secure the\nFIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 Group B matches at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Hendra added that security around the Si Jalak Harupat area will\nimplement a four-zone or ring system, ranging from Ring 1 to Ring 4.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRing 1 will be managed by stewards, who can request police\nassistance in the event of specific incidents,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>",
