The West Java Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Commission III\nis urging the local government to take strategic steps to revitalise\nRegional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) that have yet to deliver optimal\nperformance. Such restructuring is considered vital so that the assets\nand companies owned by the West Java Provincial Government can provide a\ngreater contribution to regional revenue and development.<\/p>\n
The Chairman of Commission III of the West Java DPRD, Jajang Rohana,\nstated that this was a key focus during the commission\u2019s working visit\nto evaluate the performance of several local government partners in\nCirebon Regency on Wednesday (16\/09\/2026).<\/p>\n
According to Jajang, the evaluation covered several sectors related\nto regional revenue. This included a review of the Regional Revenue\nManagement Centre (P3D) in the Cirebon Regency area to monitor tax\nrevenue developments following the determination of the Revised Regional\nBudget (APBD Perubahan).<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are monitoring the development of regional revenue from the tax\nsector. Following the determination of the Revised Regional Budget, we\nhope that the established targets can be achieved,\u201d said Jajang.<\/p>\n
However, he noted that challenges remain in optimising Motor Vehicle\nTax (PKB) collection. One of these issues relates to the high number of\nvehicles that have failed to re-register (KTMDU).<\/p>\n
Jajang estimated that the current achievement of the Motor Vehicle\nTax is around 90 per cent of its potential. Therefore, he believes that\nincreasing public awareness regarding timely vehicle tax payments\nremains a significant task for all P3D offices across West Java.<\/p>\n
Beyond the tax sector, Commission III also highlighted the\nperformance of Bank BJB Regional Office III in Cirebon Regency. Although\ngrowth was recorded, the DPRD provided notes regarding the Loan to\nDeposit Ratio (LDR).<\/p>\n
\u201cOverall, there is an improvement in performance, but our note for\nthe region concerns the LDR. Third-Party Funds (DPK) collected are still\nrelatively small compared to the disbursement of credit,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Jajang expressed hope that Bank BJB could be more active in\nencouraging the public to deposit their funds in the bank. Given that\nBJB receives support from both the provincial government and the regency\nand municipal governments across West Java, he hopes the bank can\nstrengthen its competitiveness and enhance performance amidst\ncompetition with national banks.<\/p>\n
Commission III also encouraged that investments entering West Java\nshould have a greater impact on labour absorption. Jajang hopes that\ninvestment will not only be capital-intensive but also increase\nlabour-intensive investment.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe recommend that all partners maximise their performance. In the\ncapital investment sector, investments entering West Java are expected\nto be not only capital-intensive but also labour-intensive, so they can\noptimally absorb the local workforce,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Regarding BUMDs, Commission III requested health-restoration measures\nfor regional companies that are not performing at their maximum\npotential.
