The West Java Provincial Government was named the country\u2019s best\nMuslim-friendly tourism province at the Indonesia Sharia Economic\nFestival (ISEF) 2026. West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan received\nthe award from Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana at the Jakarta\nInternational Convention Center (JICC) on Friday (16 October 2026).<\/p>\n
\u201cAlhamdulillah, the West Java Provincial Government is proud to\nreceive the highest award as Indonesia\u2019s number-one province in the 2026\nIndonesia Muslim Travel Index (IMTI), presented in person by Tourism\nMinister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana at the prestigious ISEF 2026,\u201d Erwan\nsaid.<\/p>\n
West Java received a similar award in 2025. In addition to ranking\nfirst among provinces in the 2026 IMTI, it also received the IMTI\nSpecial Recognition for Best IMTI Performance of the Year.<\/p>\n
Erwan said the achievement reflected the collective efforts of\nstakeholders in West Java\u2019s tourism industry and demonstrated improved\nstandards in Muslim-friendly tourism services. \u201cThis proud achievement\nis the fruit of hard work, reflection and close collaboration among all\nparties. Our goal of maintaining and improving the quality of\nMuslim-friendly tourism in West Java has finally been realised,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
He said close cooperation between the provincial government, the\ntourism community and Bank Indonesia had led to the top award. \u201cThis\naward belongs to all the people of West Java. Let us continue to show\nthe world our hospitality, natural beauty and comprehensive tourism\nfacilities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The 13th ISEF was held at JICC from 14 to 18 October 2026. The\nprogramme involved domestic and international partners in the Islamic\neconomy and finance sectors, as well as more than 1,000 halal-industry\nplayers.<\/p>\n
ISEF 2026 featured more than 100 in-person and online events,\nbringing together businesses from across the supply chain. These\nincluded trade and textile business matching, the Islamic Boarding\nSchool Business Forum, and national and international forums on halal\nproducts, zakat, waqf, Hajj financing and Muslim-friendly tourism.<\/p>\n
West Java\u2019s leading MSMEs<\/strong><\/p>\n ISEF 2026 provided a platform for West Java\u2019s leading MSMEs to reach\nthe national halal market. Thirty MSMEs and Islamic boarding schools\nsupported by Bank Indonesia\u2019s West Java office took part in various\nevents, including exhibitions, fashion shows, business matching, Halal\nMart and Jawara Ekspor.<\/p>\n Their participation gave the businesses an important opportunity to\nengage directly with consumers, other businesses, potential partners and\nwider market networks.<\/p>\n At the Modest Fashion Exhibition, 14 West Java textile and fashion\nMSMEs had stands in the JICC lobby and Cenderawasih area: Dama Kara,\nYASA, Neu Men, Boolao, Klambikoe, Fustan by Dots Indonesia, Bellahasura,\nHimeca Daily, Awgorgeousin, Kirapassa, Netaly, Jofan Design, Artikala\nand Anggia Handmade. Six of them\u2014Jofan Design, Artikala, Klambikoe,\nBellahasura, Fustan by Dots Indonesia and Boolao\u2014also appeared on the\nrunway at IN2MOTIONFEST x JMFW 2026. Mom Aiko Store also took part in\nmodest-fashion business matching.<\/p>",
