The West Java Provincial Government has closed the operations of PT\nMas Putih Belitung, a company managing a mine in Tamansari Village,\nPangkalan District, Karawang Regency.<\/p>\n
The closure was marked by the installation of Satpol PP (Public Order\nAgency) lines at the mine\u2019s entrance gate by the West Java Regional\nSecretary, Herman Suryatman, accompanied by the Head of the West Java\nSatpol PP and representatives from the Karawang Regency Government on\nTuesday (15\/09\/2026). Herman stated that the authorities had repeatedly\nreminded the company to fulfil several requirements to allow its mining\nbusiness to continue. However, even after the third warning, the company\nhas failed to comply.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe West Java Provincial Government has sent warnings three times:\nin May 2025, May 2026, and most recently in August 2026. There are\nvarious items that must be fulfilled and completed for this mining\nbusiness to proceed. But the fact is, upon our inspection today, we\nfound that they have not been met; many items remain incomplete,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n
Herman emphasised that no mining activities are permitted until all\nrequirements are fulfilled, including those concerning social\nissues.<\/p>\n
The raw materials mined by PT Mas Putih Belitung are supplied to PT\nJui Shin Indonesia. The mining operations utilise a 10-kilometre stretch\nof provincial road, specifically the Badami-Loji section. Every day,\ndozens of trucks with a 30-tonne capacity pass through, causing\nsignificant damage to the road.<\/p>\n
