        "content": "<p>Bandung, West Java (ANTARA) - The West Java Provincial Government is\nproviding an incentive in the form of a 10 per cent discount on annual\nmotor vehicle tax (PKB) payments for owners of two-wheeled and\nfour-wheeled vehicles during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday\nperiod.<\/p>\n<p>West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi explained that this tax reduction\nprogramme applies specifically to online payments from 18 March to 24\nMarch 2026, as an effort to alleviate the economic burden on the\ncommunity amid the high expenses during Lebaran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRather than the money being spent entirely on Lebaran, it\u2019s better\nto pay the tax and get a 10 per cent discount,\u201d said Dedi in his\nstatement in Bandung, West Java, on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The public can access this discount service through various digital\nchannels, including the Sapawarga application and Signal (National\nDigital Samsat).<\/p>\n<p>In addition, payments via KiosK Samsat (Samsat ATM) available at all\nmain Samsat offices throughout West Java will also serve returnees with\nassistance from on-site officers.<\/p>\n<p>The Governor emphasised that the digitalisation of this service aims\nto enable residents to fulfil their tax obligations without being bound\nby conventional office operating hours during the joint leave\nperiod.<\/p>\n<p>For residents who wish to take advantage of this opportunity, the\nWest Java Provincial Government urges them to immediately update the\nSapawarga application or contact the Jabar alert hotline at 082126030038\nfor technical payment guidance.<\/p>\n<p>The West Java Provincial Government hopes that this PKB discount\nprogramme will increase taxpayer compliance while serving as an Eid gift\nfor West Java residents who want to keep their vehicles legally\nregistered at a more affordable cost.<\/p>",
