        "content": "<p>REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA \u2013 The West Java Regional Police (Polda\nJabar) will begin a programme to renovate uninhabitable homes in 2026.\nThe programme is intended to improve the welfare of the community and\nsupport social initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Bandung Police Chief, Commissioner Aldi Subartono, said that the\nprogramme to build decent homes would be carried out in several areas of\nWest Java, including in the jurisdiction of the Bandung Police. It is\ntargeted that this year, Polda Jabar will build 30 decent homes, to be\nimplemented during Ramadan 1447 H.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe West Java Police Chief is launching a programme to renovate 30\nuninhabitable homes in various regions of West Java during Ramadan\n2026,\u201d he said in a statement on Tuesday (24 February 2026).<\/p>\n<p>Aldi explained that the construction of decent homes in his area\nwould be carried out directly by the police force. He also personally\ninspected the homes that would be built, including the home of Enda (75)\nin Kampung Pasirsari Lebak, Patrolsari Village, Arjasari District,\nBandung Regency.<\/p>\n<p>He assessed that the condition of the house, where the elderly woman\nlives, was concerning and uninhabitable. The inspection was carried out\nto ensure the readiness of the location, the completeness of the\nadministration, and the accuracy of the target recipients of the\nassistance.<\/p>\n<p>Aldi also inspected two other residents\u2019 homes that had previously\nbeen completed through the uninhabitable home renovation programme,\nnamely the homes of Enjang (43) and Imas Tuti (39). This field\ninspection aims to ensure the quality of the construction and to see\ndirectly the positive impact of the assistance on the beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p>He said that throughout 2026, the Bandung Police had built three\ndecent homes for underprivileged people. This was done to support\nhumanitarian programmes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis uninhabitable home renovation programme is part of the\nimplementation of the West Java Police Chief\u2019s policy, which is in line\nwith the Asta Cita programme of the President of the Republic of\nIndonesia and the National Police Chief\u2019s policy in strengthening the\nrole of the Police as protectors, guardians, and servants of the\ncommunity,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He assessed that the programme is also a real form of the Police\u2019s\nconcern for underprivileged people and support for the government\u2019s\nprogramme in realising social welfare.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope that this assistance can provide long-term benefits and\nfurther strengthen the relationship between the Police and the\ncommunity,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
