        "content": "<p>The West Java Regional Police (Polda Jabar) have revealed that a\nwoman, identified by the initials YTR (29), has suffered blindness and\nseveral severe injuries following her confinement by her partner, TH, in\nBandung Regency for approximately three years.<\/p>\n<p>West Java Regional Police Head of Public Relations, Kombes Pol.\nHendra Rochmawan, stated that according to the medical examination\nresults, the victim sustained serious injuries to her face and eyes. \u201cIt\nis certain that both of her eyes have gone blind based on the visum\nresults; that is the most severe injury. Furthermore, six of her upper\nfront teeth have been lost and her lip is cleft,\u201d Hendra said in\nBandung, West Java, on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Hendra noted that the suspect, TH, is currently being pursued by the\npolice. \u201cThe perpetrator has not yet been arrested. We have just formed\na joint task force,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He further explained that investigators have not yet been able to\ntake a direct statement from the victim due to her limited physical\ncondition and communication abilities. \u201cThe victim\u2019s official police\nreport (BAP) has not been processed because she is not yet able to\ncommunicate clearly,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The case came to light after the victim\u2019s family received a WhatsApp\nmessage from an unknown individual informing them that the victim was in\nthe Emergency Department of the Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in\nBandung. \u201cFollowing that, the victim\u2019s family went to RSHS and\ndiscovered that the victim had severe injuries to her head, face, and\nlegs, as well as minor injuries to her hands,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He revealed that before being found in the hospital, the victim\u2019s\nwhereabouts had been unknown to her family for approximately three\nyears. \u201cThe victim had previously disappeared, with no news or\ninformation regarding her whereabouts for about three years,\u201d Hendra\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>According to the police, during that period, the victim is suspected\nto have endured repeated physical abuse inflicted by the suspect using\nhands, blunt objects, and sharp weapons, and her valuables were also\nstolen.<\/p>",
