Dedi Prasetyo stated at a\npress briefing at the KM 57 rest area on the Cikampek Toll Road in\nKarawang on Saturday that tens of thousands of personnel have been\ndistributed across 332 security posts, service posts, and integrated\nposts, including several toll road locations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn total, 26,000 personnel have been deployed. Additionally, 332\nsecurity posts (Pospam), service posts (Posyan), and integrated command\nposts have been prepared,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting an innovation by West Java Police, Dedi emphasized the\nestablishment of thematic posts designed to provide optimal service to\ntravellers. \u201cThese thematic posts are truly capable of providing the\nbest service to the public. They are equipped with breaking-fast meals,\nfood, and beverages,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>According to Dedi, these posts provide rest areas for travellers\nbefore continuing their journeys. \u201cMoreover, we have also established\nmosque service posts (Posyan Masjid) throughout both main arterial roads\nand routes used by the public,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have also deployed smile patrol teams comprising female police\nofficers and female military personnel to distribute breaking-fast\nmeals, drinking water, and snacks to the public at rest areas,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>Dedi urged the public not to rest on road shoulders, as this poses\nsafety risks. \u201cIf rest areas are full, please follow the guidance given\nby officers. Do not rest on toll road shoulders as they present\nconsiderable safety hazards,\u201d he cautioned.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Deputy National Police Chief Dedi conducted an aerial survey\nof traffic exiting Jakarta on the second day of Operation Ketupat 2026\nand confirmed that traffic flow was running smoothly. \u201cFrom my aerial\nobservation, traffic departing Jakarta is flowing very smoothly.\nAlthough there has been an increase, conditions remain manageable,\u201d he\nstated at the KM 29 Command Centre in Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOverall, the public order and security situation is very conducive.\nAlthough traffic volume has increased, everything remains well under\ncontrol,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>After the aerial survey, the Deputy National Police Chief inspected\ntechnological infrastructure readiness at the KM 29 Command Centre, from\nwhich real-time toll road conditions can be monitored. According to\nobservations, traffic conditions on various toll routes from Cikampek to\nCirebon, to the Central Java border at Kalikangkung Toll Road, and\nthrough to the East Java exit at Ngawi were all flowing smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have also observed that the toll road towards Merak is in very\nsmooth condition. At Merak, at the Cilegon exit, special measures have\nbeen taken to divert three-axle vehicles off the toll road onto arterial\nroutes,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>",
