        "content": "<p>West Java Regional Police (Polda Jabar) have spoken out regarding its\nofficers involved in an altercation with a security guard, after their\nvehicle ran a red light at a pelican crossing in front of the Pullman\nHotel, Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Head of Public Relations at Polda Jabar, Commissioner Hendra\nRochmawan, offered an apology to the security guard at Bundaran HI for\nthe arrogant and improper behaviour displayed by three Polda Jabar\nofficers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe offer our apology to Mr Fictor, a security guard in the Bundaran\nHI area, for the improper actions committed by three members of the West\nJava Regional Police,\u201d Hendra said on Saturday (25\/7).<\/p>\n<p>Hendra said that although the parties had reached an amicable\nsettlement, the three officers would be subject to ethics sanctions. The\nthree Polda Jabar officers carry the initials Ipda DG, Bripka BS and\nBriptu RPW.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe findings show sufficient evidence of an alleged violation of the\nIndonesian National Police Professional Ethics Code, as regulated under\nPolice Regulation Number 7 of 2022. The next step will be carried out\nthrough the mechanism of the National Police Professional Ethics\nCommission hearing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Hendra assured that West Java Regional Police reaffirmed its\ncommitment to act firmly, professionally and transparently against any\nviolations committed by its members, and expressed appreciation for all\ncriticism and input from the public as part of efforts to improve and\nenhance services.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, a video circulated on social media showing a Toyota\nAlphard running a red light at a pelican crossing in front of the\nPullman Hotel, Central Jakarta, which escalated into an altercation with\na security guard.<\/p>\n<p>In the video posted by the Instagram account <span class=\"citation\" data-cites=\"jakpus24jam.id\">@jakpus24jam.id<\/span>, several pedestrians\ncan be seen crossing at the pelican crossing after the traffic light\nturned red for vehicles. However, an Alphard continued to drive through\nand ran the red light.<\/p>\n<p>A security guard who was also crossing then reprimanded the Alphard\ndriver. However, the driver was reportedly displeased with the\nreprimand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe security guard then reprimanded the driver by banging on the car\nwindow. The driver was unhappy with the security guard\u2019s actions and a\nverbal altercation ensued,\u201d said Braiel.<\/p>\n<p>According to Braiel, the two parties then went to the police post to\nseek assistance in resolving the matter through mediation. Subsequently,\nboth parties agreed to make peace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe matter was resolved amicably through mediation assisted by the\nPost Commander at the Thamrin Police Post. After it was settled, the\ndriver continued his journey and the security guard returned to work,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>",
