The West Java High Prosecutor\u2019s Office (Kejati Jabar) has officially\nnamed the active Deputy Regent of Indramayu, Syaefudin, as a suspect in\na case of alleged corruption concerning housing and transport allowances\nfor leaders and members of the Indramayu Regency DPRD for the 2022 to\n2025 fiscal years. The scandal is estimated to have caused state losses\namounting to tens of billions of rupiah.<\/p>\n
In addition to Syaefudin, special crime investigators from Kejati\nJabar have also named two senior officials within the Indramayu DPRD\nSecretariat as suspects in the same case cluster.<\/p>\n
The Head of Legal Information at Kejati Jabar, Nur Sricahyawijaya,\nconfirmed the initial summons of the three suspects today. Syaefudin\u2019s\nrole is being investigated in his capacity when he still held a\nlegislative leadership position.<\/p>\n
The three suspects and their regulatory roles within the government\nstructure are as follows: Syaefudin, former Chairman of the Indramayu\nRegency DPRD for the 2019\u20132024 period, who is currently serving as\nDeputy Regent of Indramayu for the 2024\u20132029 period; IM, Acting\nSecretary of the Indramayu DPRD (1 November 2021\u201311 August 2022) who\nalso acted as Budget User; and AF, the definitive Secretary of the\nIndramayu DPRD (12 August 2022\u2013June 2025) who also acted as Budget\nUser.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo the special crime investigators from Kejati Jabar summoned three\nsuspects, namely S, IM, and AF. Today, examinations were conducted on\ntwo suspects, IM and AF, starting from 09.00 WIB,\u201d said Nur\nSricahyawijaya on Friday (12\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n
Nur Sricahyawijaya revealed that, based on the official audit\ncalculation results from the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK), the policy\nfor disbursing the housing allowances and official transport fleets was\nproven to violate legal regulations.<\/p>\n
\u201cRegarding this alleged corruption case, according to the state loss\ncalculation results from the BPK, the value reached approximately 18\nbillion rupiah,\u201d she stressed.<\/p>\n
However, in this initial examination agenda, Syaefudin failed to\ncomply with the investigators\u2019 summons. The Deputy Regent\u2019s legal\ncounsel sent an official medical certificate stating that their client\u2019s\nhealth condition was declining, in order to request a rescheduling of\nthe legal examination process.<\/p>\n
The corruption scandal ensnaring the Deputy Regent presents a sharp\nirony for the running of the Indramayu Regency Government. This legal\ncase has surfaced precisely when the Regent of Indramayu, Lucky Hakim,\nis garnering appreciation at the national level.<\/p>\n
