Bandung (ANTARA) \u2013 West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi is relying on the\nNyari Gawe programme to ensure investment in the region continues to\ngrow while creating employment opportunities for residents.<\/p>\n
\u201cInvestment in West Java continues to surge, and hopefully this\ninvestment will have an impact on the availability of jobs,\u201d Dedi said\nin Bandung on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
He said the West Java Provincial Government was continuing to urge\nindustrial companies to be more open in providing employment\nopportunities for the public.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Nyari Gawe service system is one of many ways to create jobs\ntransparently and deliver benefits for the public interest,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
According to Dedi, the service is one way of helping people access\njob opportunities. However, not all jobseekers can be accommodated\nbecause of the limited number of jobs available.<\/p>\n
Dedi said the Nyari Gawe application, managed by the West Java\nCommunications and Informatics Office and the Manpower and\nTransmigration Office, had recorded 728,085 jobseekers and a total of\n2.4 million applications as of 21 October 2026.<\/p>\n
Of the 803 registered companies, 230 had advertised vacancies,\noffering a total of 32,125 positions. Meanwhile, 1,282 applicants had\nbeen recorded as hired through the service.<\/p>\n
By location, Subang Regency had the highest number of jobseekers, at\n92,172, followed by Karawang Regency with 79,110 and Bekasi Regency with\n52,852.<\/p>\n
Purwakarta Regency had 43,380 jobseekers, followed by Bandung Regency\nwith 42,159. A further 41,036 jobseekers were from outside West\nJava.<\/p>\n
Data from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming\/Investment\nCoordinating Board (BKPM) showed that combined realisation of foreign\nand domestic investment in West Java reached Rp91 trillion in the third\nquarter of 2026.<\/p>\n
