        "content": "<p>Through the \u2018Rereongan Sapoe Sarebu\u2019 or \u2018Poe Ibu\u2019 programme, West\nJava civil servants (ASN) have successfully renovated 18 units of\nuninhabitable houses in Girimukti Village, Cikelet District, Garut\nRegency.<\/p>\n<p>All renovation costs were funded by West Java Provincial Government\ncivil servants, who contributed Rp 1,000 per person every day.<\/p>\n<p>The results of the renovations were personally inspected by the\ninitiator of the Poe Ibu movement, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyatic, on\nMonday (7\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The 18 renovated units did not merely focus on structural repairs but\nalso included expansions and the addition of representative\nfacilities.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Dedi Mulyadi noted that several of the houses previously\nlacked sanitation facilities (MCK), and some even lacked independent\nelectricity connections. \u201cSo, this is not just a renovation but also an\nexpansion; previously there were no sanitation facilities, but now there\nare, electricity is now independent, and we have also built septic\ntanks,\u201d said Dedi Mulyadi, affectionately known as KDM.<\/p>\n<p>The West Java Regional Secretary, Herman Suryatman, added that in\naddition to constructing bathrooms, the renovation of these\nuninhabitable houses included repairing floors and walls, replacing roof\ntiles, and installing ceilings and glass.<\/p>\n<p>All 18 housing units are now fit for habitation. Following a\nthree-week renovation period, the significant changes were deeply felt\nby one of the homeowners, Enung.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlhamdulillah, I am so happy I cannot express it in words; thank you\nto the Ladies and Gentlemen for donating your sustenance to me. Thank\nyou also to Mr KDM,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The Poe Ibu programme is a participatory movement based on the\nprinciple of \u2018gotong royong\u2019 (mutual cooperation), upholding the local\nwisdom values of \u2018silih asih, silih asah, silih asuh\u2019 (loving,\nsharpening, and nurturing one another).<\/p>",
