Jakarta Regional Police have uncovered a vape narcotics distribution\nnetwork in Cengkareng, West Jakarta. Authorities seized 30 cartridges of\nclass II narcotic etomidate and arrested a man identified as MS, 29.<\/p>\n
The case was triggered by a public report concerning suspected\nnarcotics abuse in West Jakarta. \u201cWe arrested a man identified as MS,\n29, who is suspected of acting as a courier or distributor,\u201d said AKP\nYeni Yuningsih of Unit 4, Subunit 2, Narcotics Crime Directorate of\nJakarta Regional Police, in a statement.<\/p>\n
The arrest followed police receiving information about suspected\nnarcotics activity in Kamal, West Jakarta. \u201cFollowing the report, Unit\n4, Subunit 2 of the Narcotics Crime Directorate conducted an\ninvestigation on the suspect,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
During surveillance in Cengkareng, officers suspected a man riding a\nmotorcycle. The team followed him before stopping and arresting him\noutside Sedayu Square. \u201cInitial checks revealed a red tote bag\ncontaining 30 suspected etomidate cartridges. Police also seized the\nsuspect\u2019s mobile phone and motorcycle,\u201d Yeni said.<\/p>\n
The suspect and evidence have been taken to the Jakarta Regional\nPolice Narcotics Crime Directorate for further questioning.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Budi Hermanto, Head of Public\nRelations for Jakarta Regional Police, stated that combating narcotics\nis a shared responsibility. \u201cEven the smallest tip from the public is\nvaluable to the police, starting from the immediate surroundings for us\nto collectively care,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
