This channel must be\ncarried out simultaneously and all at once or in parallel up to the Kali\nAngke,\u201d said West Jakarta Mayor Iin Mutmainnah to reporters after\ninspecting flooding in South Kembangan, West Jakarta, on Tuesday\n(5\/5\/2026). Iin explained that the channel construction will use funds\nfrom various sources. The length of the channel is around 1 kilometre.\n\u201cSo it\u2019s 1050 metres long with a creative financing scheme, so there is\nsupport from CSR as well as from the APBD or from the Water Resources\nSub-District Office,\u201d she clarified. Iin hopes that the construction of\nthis channel will already be underway and targeted for completion by the\nend of 2026. Her side has already coordinated with several technical\nimplementation units, including the Water Resources Agency, Road\nInfrastructure Agency, toll authorities, and PLN. \u201cAt the latest by the\nend of the year, four months.
