        "content": "<p>The West Jakarta City Government is targeting 10 primary schools in\nthe Palmerah district to participate in the \u2018Green Guardians\u2019 programme,\nserving as models for waste sorting activities for other schools.<\/p>\n<p>The selected schools include SDN Kemanggisan 10, SDN Palmerah 09\nPagi, SDN Palmerah 25 Pagi, SDN Palmerah 19 Pagi, SDN Jati Pulo 07 Pagi,\nSDN Kota Bambu 03 Pagi, SDN Palmerah 23 Pagi, SDN Palmerah 01 Pagi, SDN\nJati Pulo 08 Pagi, and SDN Kemanggisan 14 Pagi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese schools are expected to become models for waste sorting\nprogrammes at the school level,\u201d said West Jakarta Mayor Iin Mutmainnah\nwhen confirmed in Jakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, the Green Guardians programme, initiated by the\nBakti Barito Foundation, aligns with the national Adiwiyata programme,\nwhich aims to create environmentally friendly schools. \u201cWhile Adiwiyata\nis already a flagship programme, our efforts will be more optimal when\nintervened through collaborations with entrepreneurs, such as Bakti\nBarito,\u201d Iin noted.<\/p>\n<p>She added that significant intervention is required, not only\nregarding standardisation from the Environmental Department but also\nfrom the Education Office. Furthermore, the administration holds high\nhopes that the next generation in West Jakarta can become pioneers of\nchange.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope this generation, the future \u2018Golden Generation\u2019 of 2045,\nemerges from West Jakarta. We all present here have a responsibility and\nmust strengthen our cooperation,\u201d Iin expressed.<\/p>\n<p>She noted that students possess an advantage in accessing information\nthrough digital media. \u201cOur children, though much younger than us, may\nhave a wider digital reach because they can connect with anyone in the\nworld very easily. Their technological generation is stronger,\u201d she\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, they have the opportunity to disseminate news and\ninformation regarding waste sorting in these schools quickly and\naccurately. For this reason, I want school principals to provide digital\nliteracy as wisely and effectively as possible, so they can strengthen\nthis information across all sectors,\u201d Iin concluded.<\/p>\n<p>She added that several schools in the other seven districts of West\nJakarta will also be selected as waste sorting models. \u201cI am currently\ncoordinating with the Sub-Department of Education regarding the schools.\nThere is an option for 10 per cent of schools in the West Jakarta area\nto become models for waste sorting activities. We are still reviewing\nthis,\u201d Iin added.<\/p>",
