The West Bandung Regency government has reported to the police the closure of part of SDN Bunisari's classrooms using concrete decking by an individual claiming to be an heir, which damaged school facilities and disrupted learning for 456 students. The acting head of the Education Office expressed regret over the action taken during an ongoing appeal against a court decision, leading to a two-shift learning schedule to ensure students' rights are maintained. This incident highlights tensions over land disputes affecting public education infrastructure.

The West Bandung Regency government has officially reported the
incident of partial closure of classrooms at SDN Bunisari in
Gadobangkong Village, Ngamprah District, to the police. The report was
made due to suspected damage to educational facilities that are assets
of the West Bandung Regency.

“We have reported this fencing action to the Cimahi Police Resort
last Wednesday. It is not just about fencing, but the plaintiff has also
damaged school facilities,” said Acting Head of the West Bandung Regency
Education Office, Asep Dendih, when confirmed on Saturday
(11/4/2026).

As known, access to eight classrooms and the teachers’ room at the
back of SDN Bunisari was blocked using concrete decking by a party
claiming to be the heir. As a result, those classrooms cannot be used
for teaching and learning activities for SDN Bunisari students.

Asep admitted to being very concerned and regretting the school land
fencing incident. This incident has a negative impact on the school,
where teaching and learning activities are disrupted. Psychologically,
it also causes concern for the school principal, teachers, students, and
parents.

“What we regret more is that while the plaintiff is appealing the
PTUN decision, they are carrying out fencing and damaging educational
facilities. In principle, we respect the plaintiff’s right to appeal.
Because that is the right of every citizen, but again, what we regret is
that during the ongoing legal process, they are doing something that is
against the law,” said Asep Dendih.

He said that with the closure of access to the back building
classrooms, SDN Bunisari students must learn in two shifts. For grades
1-3, it is from 07:30 WIB until finished, and for grades 4-6, it starts
at 12:30 WIB until finished. There are about 456 students at SDN
Bunisari in total.

This policy is implemented so that students still get their learning
rights even though they have to alternate classrooms. “Our focus now is
how the children can still learn, and alhamdulillah, learning is not
disrupted even though now some are in the morning and some in the
afternoon,” said Asep Dendih.
",
