        "content": "<p>Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of\nRepresentatives, Abidin Fikri, has proposed that the government, through\nthe Ministry of Religious Affairs, provide special incentives to enhance\nthe welfare of 638,000 private madrasah teachers who cannot be appointed\nas Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) or civil servants.\nBased on a joint meeting with the Ministry of State Apparatus\nEmpowerment and Bureaucratic Reform, he stated that the appointment of\nthese hundreds of thousands of private madrasah teachers is hindered by\nthe provisions of Law No.\u00a020 of 2023 on Civil Servants because they work\nin private madrasahs (private schools). \u201cI think a breakthrough must be\nprovided. Do not let the 638,000 madrasah teachers proposed by the\nMinistry of Religious Affairs to become PPPK or civil servants face a\ndead end, leaving them in limbo,\u201d said Abidin in Jakarta recently. He\noffered a scheme for providing incentives to madrasah teachers, namely\nby calculating the incentives based on the ratio of the number of\nstudents in all madrasahs (Ibtidaiyah, Tsanawiyah, and Aliyah) and the\nlength of service of the madrasah teachers.
