        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 Tesla has recalled 14,575 Model Y units produced between\nNovember 2025 and April 2026 due to the possibility that the weight\ncertification label was not affixed. Citing Electrek on Friday (22 May)\nlocal time, the United States road safety agency, the National Highway\nTraffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), said about 45 per cent of the\naffected vehicles are believed not to have the label. The weight\ncertification label is typically affixed to the inside of the driver\u2019s\ndoor and contains information on the vehicle\u2019s maximum payload, tyre\nspecifications, and the date of manufacture. Tesla explains the issue\noccurred due to an automated scanning tool at the Fremont factory that\noperated inconsistently in verifying the presence of labels on vehicles\nduring the period 17 November 2025 to 21 April 2026. The Elon Musk-owned\nautomaker only learned of the issue on 17 April 2026 after discovering\none vehicle without a certification label. Subsequently, Tesla fixed the\nscanner system and carried out manual inspections to ensure the label\nwas affixed before vehicles left the factory. As a remedial measure,\nTesla will reprint the missing labels and affix them to affected\nvehicles during service centre checks. The company said it has not yet\nreceived any incident reports related to the issue. Tesla had previously\nfaced a similar case in 2019 with a number of Model 3s; however, at that\ntime the problem occurred only over a five-day production window. Owners\nof Model Y produced between 17 November 2025 and 21 April 2026 are\nscheduled to receive recall notices from 17 July 2026.<\/p>",
