The Iranian Red Crescent stated that the attack occurred in\nKuhestable, a coastal town in the southern part of the country. The\nstrike followed a US announcement of operations against several targets\nlinked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). US Central\nCommand (CENTCOM) stated the attack was carried out against IRGC targets\nin response to alleged attempts to attack commercial vessels in the\nStrait of Hormuz and US military personnel stationed in the region.<\/p>\n
