The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics\n(BMKG) has released an early warning regarding potential significant\nweather that is predicted to affect various regions of Indonesia on\nThursday, 26 February 2026. This condition is influenced by the presence\nof low pressure and active cyclonic circulation in several parts of\nIndonesian waters.<\/p>\n
Based on the analysis of atmospheric dynamics, there is low pressure\nin the Indian Ocean southwest of Lampung, as well as cyclonic\ncirculation in the Indian Ocean west of northern Australia and the North\nNatuna Sea. This system triggers the formation of convergence and\nconfluence areas that extend from the Natuna Sea to the Indian Ocean\nsouth of Java and Bali.<\/p>\n
In addition, areas of slowing wind speeds (convergence) are also\nmonitored in the Malacca Strait, the Indian Ocean west of Aceh, the Java\nSea, to Central Papua. These conditions can significantly increase the\npotential for the growth of rain clouds along the areas where the winds\nmeet.<\/p>\n
