        "content": "<p>BMKG forecasts that weather in Indonesia for 9\u201312 March 2026 will\ngenerally be dominated by light to moderate rain.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the weekly outlook issued by BMKG, there are areas where\nrainfall of moderate to heavy intensity is expected to increase,\nincluding Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, the Riau Islands, Jambi,\nSouth Sumatra, the Bangka Belitung Islands, Bengkulu, Lampung, Banten,\nthe Jakarta Capital Region (DKI Jakarta) and West Java.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, areas across Java Central, Yogyakarta, Bali, West Nusa\nTenggara, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North\nKalimantan, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central\nSulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Maluku, Maluku, Southwest Papua,\nWest Papua, Central Papua, Papua Pegunungan (Papua Highlands), Papua and\nSouth Papua are also covered.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, heavy rainfall possibly accompanied by lightning and strong\nwinds may occur, with standby levels and potential regions of concern as\nfollows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Standby: very heavy rain with lightning in East Java, East Nusa\nTenggara, and South Sulawesi. Strong winds also forecast in Central\nJava, Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa\nTenggara, Maluku, and South Papua.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With the ongoing atmospheric dynamics, BMKG urged the public and\nstakeholders to remain vigilant for extreme weather that could lead to\nhydrometeorological hazards, such as heavy rain with lightning and\nstrong winds.<\/p>\n<p>The changing weather should be considered in planning activities,\nespecially for road, sea, and air travel, as well as outdoor activities\nsuch as worship and tourism.
