        "content": "<p>Weather conditions are being watched as a key factor in the\nfluctuation of food prices for community needs in Sukabumi Regency, West\nJava. With Lebaran 2026 approaching, concerns grow that supply could\ntighten due to unstable production.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Palabuhanratu Semimodern Market Unit (UPTD Pasar\nSemimodern Palabuhanratu), Uus Heriyanto, said monitoring has been\nintensive; during Ramadan so far, supply and food prices have remained\nrelatively under control. However, weather-related factors that could\naffect supply and, in turn, prices must be anticipated.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Price increases are usually influenced by weather that impacts\nproduction and distribution. But so far, conditions at PSM Palabuhanratu\nare relatively stable,\u2019 Uus said, accompanied by price recorder Maulana,\non Friday 6 March.<\/p>\n<p>Field monitoring shows that prices across essential food commodities\nat PSM Palabuhanratu are fairly stable. By mid-Ramadan, prices tended to\nfall.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018For several commodities, prices have tended to fall amid growing\ndemand during the fasting period,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>In Palabuhanratu Market, price of curly red chilli dropped to\nRp35,000 per kg from around Rp40,000 per kg; eggs have fallen from\nRp30,000\u2013Rp31,000 per kg to Rp29,000 per kg, and beef prices declined\nfrom Rp135,000 to Rp130,000 per kg. \u2018For other commodities there have\nbeen no price changes, prices are comparatively stable,\u2019 Uus added.<\/p>\n<p>Uus admitted that he would continue to monitor price movements and\nsupply intensively up to the approach of Idulfitri (the end of Ramadan).\nThe aim is to anticipate potential unchecked price hikes driven by\nrising demand.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We will ensure intensive monitoring of price movements and supply,\nincluding guaranteeing the availability of various commodities for the\ncommunity from Ramadan until Lebaran,\u2019 he concluded.
