TANGERANG: The Tangerang Municipality's Control Body (Bawasda)
\nwill investigate the alleged misappropriation of Rp 1.5 billion
\n(US$176,470) allocated to install a website network in
\nadministration offices since 2001.<\/p>\n
The case arose when the World Bank, which donated Rp 1.3
\nbillion for the work, asked for a report on the project.<\/p>\n
Dedi Rosadi, a municipality official, said the project, which
\nwas to have begun in 2001, was not yet complete because "the
\nadministration hasn't appointed a website master".<\/p>\n
"Besides, we don't have a web server yet ... worse, several
\ndistrict offices still do not have fixed-line telephones," he
\nsaid over the weekend.<\/p>\n
Another official connected to the project, Dadang Durahman,
\nsaid the administration had used Rp 600 million of the Rp 1.5
\nbillion to establish a community hot line, while the remaining
\nmoney had been used to computerize data at the municipality's

BOGOR: Six blocks of two-story shop-houses buildings --
\nintended to be shops with upstairs living arrangements -- under
\nconstruction on Jl. Tajur alongside the Cibalok River, collapsed
\non Saturday evening when the river flooded, following heavy rain.<\/p>\n
No fatalities were reported, as all the construction workers
\nleft the building site for an early dinner at about 5 p.m.<\/p>\n
Raymond, a resident who witnessed the incident, told
\nTempointeraktif that the flood brought down the 20-meter iron
\nrods used to reinforce the buildings.<\/p>\n
The construction site, reportedly owned by businessman
\nRanuwijaya, violates regulations stipulating buildings must be
\nsituated at least 50 meters away from the riverbank.<\/p>\n
But despite the resident's objections the construction
