Water supplies in some areas disrupted<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Joint venture tap water firm PT PAM Lyonaise
\nJaya (Palyja) is installing tap water pipes in Tebet area, South
\nJakarta, and Pejompongan, Central Jakarta, that may disrupt water
\nsupplies to customers in those areas.<\/p>\n
The company said in a statement on Tuesday that it was working
\non water pipe connections at the junction of Jl. Dr. Saharjo and
\nJl. Casablanca on Tuesday night, starting at 8 p.m.<\/p>\n
Because of the work, water supplies to customers in the
\neastern side of Jl. Dr. Saharjo, in Tebet Barat and its
\nsurrounding areas may be affected.<\/p>\n
The company said that it was also working on its pipe lines in
\nPejompongan area, that would also affect tap water supplies in
\nthat area, including customers in Bendungan Hilir.<\/p>\n
The piping work in Pejompongan will last until 5 p.m.
\nWednesday.<\/p>\n
Palyja is a joint venture between the city water company PAM
\nJaya and Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux of France. It provides tap water
\nservices to the western areas of Jakarta, while TPJ, a joint
\nventure between PAM Jaya and Thames Water Overseas Ltd of
\nBritain, operates the services in eastern Jakarta.<\/p>",
