        "content": "<p>Water purifiers for Palangka Raya<\/p>\n<p>PALANGKA RAYA, Central Kalimantan: Farmers being resettled to<br>\nthe peat land project will not have to worry about drinking<br>\nwater.<\/p>\n<p>The government is building about 3,000 water purifiers on the<br>\none-million-hectare site to ensure that the transmigrants will<br>\nnot have water problems, Antara reported.<\/p>\n<p>Hasudungan Siagian, assistant to the provincial office of<br>\nWater Enterprise, said the 3,000 water purifiers were enough to<br>\nserve 6,000 farm families.<\/p>\n<p>The central government has allocated over Rp 400 million<br>\n(US$170,000) to install the purifiers.<\/p>\n<p>He said his office decided not to build a pipe network for<br>\nwater distribution because it would be too expensive for farmers<br>\nto operate and maintain.
