Waste in busway project<\/p>\n
From Warta Kota<\/p>\n
One instance of waste in the Jakarta busway project is the
\ntearing down of the railings in front of the Harco building in
\ndowntown Glodok. Used to date for motorcycle parking, the lane
\nwithin the steel barriers is to be used by the busway.<\/p>\n
The railings certainly cost a lot of money to construct. As
\nthey are now being pulled down, this money has been wasted.<\/p>\n
Another example of waste during the development of this
\nproject is the loss of untold thousands of liters of fuel due to
\nthe prolonged road congestion, which also causes exhaustion and
\nstress on the part of road users.<\/p>\n
Any development project will obviously require some
\nsacrifices, but this busway development has inflicted excessive
\ndiscomfort on the citizens of Jakarta.<\/p>\n
