PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk has participated in the annual Mudik Bersama BUMN programme, organised by BP BUMN and BPI Danantara, transporting nearly 300 employees, their families, and the general public to destinations including Solo, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Malang, and Surabaya using six buses. The initiative, themed 'Mudik Nyaman Bersama' (Comfortable Homecoming Together), aims to ease financial burdens, ensure safe travel, and reduce carbon emissions by discouraging motorcycle use, while providing provisions and medical supplies. As a state-owned enterprise, Waskita views this as an expression of corporate social responsibility and a commitment to sustainable economic practices in Indonesia.

PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk is once again organising the Mudik
Bersama BUMN programme this year. In the free homecoming activity
initiated by the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN) and
the Nusantara Future Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara), the
company is transporting nearly 300 homecomers to destinations in Solo,
Semarang, Yogyakarta, Malang, and Surabaya. Waskita Karya’s Corporate
Secretary, Ermy Puspa Yunita, stated that the homecomers, consisting of
Waskita Karya employees, subsidiaries, employees’ families, and the
general public, were transported using six modes of transport in the
form of buses. Five buses were departed from the Waskita Karya Building
in Jakarta. Meanwhile, one other bus was departed directly by the
Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus
Harimurti Yudhoyono, as well as the Chief Operating Officer of BPI
Danantara and Head of BP BUMN, Dony Oskaria, together with around 66
other SOEs at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) in Jakarta. This year’s BUMN
Homecoming carries the theme ‘Mudik Nyaman Bersama’. ‘For Waskita,
organising this free homecoming is not just fulfilling an obligation,
but also as a form of appreciation to Waskita’s people and the entire
community that continues to support Waskita. We hope they can experience
a safe and comfortable homecoming journey until they reach their
destination,’ said Ermy in a written statement on Thursday (19/3/2026).
Through this activity, said Ermy, the company also hopes to help and
ease the public who want to carry out the homecoming tradition or return
to their hometowns, but are constrained by costs or difficulty finding
tickets. Mudik Bersama BUMN also aims to minimise risks during the
journey. ‘This joint homecoming agenda departs from the high statistics
of homecomers using motorcycles, which have the highest vulnerability
compared to vehicles like buses. We also hope that Mudik Bersama BUMN
will reduce the use of private vehicles to reduce carbon emissions from
the transportation sector,’ she added. Not only providing buses, Waskita
also equipped the homecomers with provisions during the journey and
medicines. The company ensures that the public participating in this
free homecoming are always healthy and safe until they reach their
destination. ‘This activity is a real manifestation of the company’s
commitment in implementing the principles of Social and Environmental
Responsibility (TJSL) while encouraging sustainable economic practices
in Indonesia. Waskita hopes that next year it can transport even more
homecomers,’ Ermy concluded.
",
