Wardiman to open Edufair<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Minister of Education and Culture Wardiman
\nDjojonegoro is scheduled to open a four-day education fair called
\nEdufair Jakarta '96, which will take place at the lower lobby of
\nthe Jakarta Convention Center.<\/p>\n
The fair, scheduled to begin on July 4, is in celebration of
\nNational Children's Day, which falls on July 22.<\/p>\n
Organized by private firm PT BisnisAsia MitraBuana, it will
\nattempt to provide alternative ways of properly rearing children,
\nand will call on parents to be aware of the negative influences
\nof information from various media sources.<\/p>\n
The first-ever event of its kind to be held in Indonesia, the
\nfair is under the theme \"The enrichment of children's critical
\nminds and creativity\".<\/p>\n
Children and parents, as well as educators, will benefit from
\nthe fair, the committee said.<\/p>\n
Various activities will be held at the fair, including
\nseminars and presentations on child education, various children's
