        "content": "<p>Waniaindah's acquisition plan<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Publicly-listed PT Waniaindah Busana, which<br>\noperates in the garment and electronics industries, announced on<br>\nTuesday a plan to acquire PT Texmaco Micro Indo Utama, a high-<br>\ntech electronics manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p>Waniaindah director Darmalinggam explained at a media briefing<br>\nthat the company is considering several financing alternatives to<br>\nfund the acquisition, including increasing its equity stake.<\/p>\n<p>Most importantly, he added, the acquisition will enable<br>\nWaniaindah to increase the manufacture of higher value-added<br>\nproducts such as wireless technology in communications and WEB TV<br>\nfor major industrial users like PT Toshiba, PT Shinwo and PT<br>\nHonoris.<\/p>\n<p>Darmalinggam forecast Waniaindah's net profit after the<br>\nacquisition at $2 million on sales of $25 million this year, $5<br>\nmillion on sales of $45 million in 2001 and $11 million on sales<br>\nof $70 million in 2002.<\/p>",
