        "content": "<p>VP to open AOMM meeting in Bali<\/p>\n<p>TUBAN, Bali: Vice President Jusuf Kalla is expected to inaugurate<br>\nthe second upcoming gathering of fisheries and maritime ministers<br>\nfrom member states of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation<br>\n(APEC).<\/p>\n<p>The two-day Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation Ocean Related<br>\nMinisterial Meeting (AOMM) will be held in Tuban, Bali on Friday,<br>\nand will be attended by ministers from 20 member states of APEC,<br>\nsaid Aji Sularso of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and<br>\nFisheries.<\/p>\n<p>He said that among the participating countries only Russia<br>\ncould not send a minister. No reason was given.<\/p>\n<p>Aji said that the second meeting was held to follow-up the<br>\nSeoul Ocean Declaration, made in the South Korea capital city<br>\nduring the first meeting last year.<\/p>\n<p>The 12-point declaration focussed on how to improve<br>\ncooperation among APEC countries in the maritime and fisheries<br>\nsector including in the area of the environment.
