VP celebrates daughter's marriage<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Vice President Hamzah Haz threw a grand wedding
\nreception for his daughter, Mirna Yuminar, on Saturday, attended
\nby thousands of guests.<\/p>\n
President Megawati Soekarnoputri, her husband Taufik Kiemas
\nand Cabinet ministers were among attendants of the wedding ball
\nheld under tight security at Sasono Langen Budoyo hall in the
\nTaman Mini Indonesia Park compound.<\/p>\n
Mirna is married to Muhammad Rizky, the son of a businessman
\nfrom South Sulawesi. She is the ninth child of Hamzah from his
\nfirst wife, Asmaniah.<\/p>\n
The Vice President has three wives.<\/p>\n
The reception hall belongs to the family of former president
\nSoeharto, who bowed to demands for his resignation in May 1998
\nafter 32 years in power.<\/p>\n
The hall hosted in 1997 the wedding reception of Soeharto's
\nyoungest son Hutomo \"Tommy\" Mandala Putra, who is currently
\nserving a 15-year jail term in connection with the murder of a
\njudge, -- JP<\/p>",
