Lebak (ANTARA) \u2014 The Lebak Regency government in Banten, through its\nEducation Office, has extended the implementation of distance learning\n(PJJ) because the spread of volcanic ash from the eruption of Mount Anak\nKrakatau (GAK) is still ongoing.<\/p>\n
Head of the Lebak Regency Education Office Dodi Irawan, in a\nstatement in Lebak on Tuesday, said the office extended distance\nlearning until Wednesday (9\/9) because volcanic ash was still\nspreading.<\/p>\n
Distance learning applies to all levels from early childhood\neducation (PAUD), kindergarten (TK), primary school (SD) and junior\nsecondary school (SMP) and their equivalents.<\/p>\n
He said pupils at these levels could study at home or in study\ngroups, or carry out learning activities online.<\/p>\n
To that end, the office is cooperating with school principals to\nensure distance learning runs well. Likewise, he said, parents are\nexpected to accompany and supervise their children while studying at\nhome.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe ask teachers and students to wear masks and goggles when leaving\nthe house to avoid respiratory problems and eye irritation,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Yusuf and Alisa, pupils at Al Furqon Primary School in\nRangkasbitung, are following lessons online because distance learning\nhas been extended.<\/p>\n
