        "content": "<p>REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANYUMAS \u2014 Innovations produced by vocational\nsecondary school (SMK) students are considered to have great potential\nin driving regional economic acceleration, particularly through the\nutilisation of technology for the development of micro, small, and\nmedium enterprises (UMKM).<\/p>\n<p>DPD RI member Abdul Kholik stated that the works of SMK students\ntoday not only demonstrate creativity but also possess high applicative\nvalue and are relevant to the needs of industry and society.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat we see here is like being taken to the future, the digital era\nthat can be applied in almost all sectors, and this is at the level of\nSMK students,\u201d said Kholik after opening the Stematel Innovation Summit\nat SMK Telkom Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, on\nThursday.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, these innovations can be utilised to encourage UMKM\nactors to enter the digitalisation era, thereby enabling them to scale\nup their businesses while optimising performance.<\/p>\n<p>He also encouraged local governments and stakeholders to strengthen\ncollaboration with educational institutions, particularly SMKs, to\nmaximise the utilisation of innovations produced by students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll parties must collaborate so that UMKM in Banyumas and southern\nCentral Java can enter the digitalisation era,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Kholik assessed that the southern Central Java region still requires\naccelerated development, particularly in addressing economic\nbackwardness and poverty. In his view, technology can be one of the keys\nto catching up on that backwardness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis shows that our society is actually ready to enter the\ntechnology era. This is extraordinary,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Deputy Principal of SMK Telkom Purwokerto, Krisma Dwi\nBrata, explained that the Stematel Innovation Summit is part of the\nfinal summative assessment for 12th-grade students.<\/p>\n<p>He mentioned that students have been equipped with a technological\nfoundation since 10th grade, then developed competencies through\nproject-based learning in 11th grade, up to producing innovative works\nat the final stage of education.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn 12th grade, this is the pinnacle, where the students\u2019 works\nalready meet industry standards,\u201d said Krisma.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, project-based learning is the main approach, where\nstudents not only learn theoretically but also engage directly in the\nfield to interact with UMKM and industry.<\/p>",
