Vitamins for MPR deputy speaker<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Everyone has their secret potions, including
\nPeople's Consultative Assembly deputy speaker Sucipto.<\/p>\n
In order to keep fit during the long sessions, Sucipto takes a
\ndaily dose of Vitamin A, Vitamin E and honey.<\/p>\n
"I have been taking honey for a long time, but I added
\nvitamins during the sessions," Sucipto, who is also secretary
\ngeneral of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI
\nPerjuangan), said.<\/p>\n
He claims that he rarely feels sleepy in proceedings as a
\nresult.<\/p>\n
But on the odd time or two that he feels his eyes closing, a
\nfriend comes along to help.<\/p>\n
Sucipto recalled that in one session when he looked sleepy a
\nfellow legislator sent over a tin of sweets.<\/p>\n
"At that time I felt very sleepy. My friend apparently saw me
\nand sent over the pastilles (through an Assembly usher) with a
\nsmall note which said 'To drive away the drowsiness'".(jun)<\/p>",
