        "content": "<p>Visa transactions increase<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Visa International said yesterday that<br>\ntransactions with Visa cards in Indonesia increased by 28 percent<br>\nto US$1.2 billion in the first nine months of this year, from<br>\n$948 million during the same period of 1994.<\/p>\n<p>\"The use of Visa cards in Indonesia is recorded at an average<br>\nof 24 times per person annually, the second biggest after<br>\nAustralia that recorded an average usage of 31 times,\" Lindsay C.<br>\nPyne, Visa's president for the Asia-Pacific, said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesian Visa card holders' spending overseas rose 21<br>\npercent to $294 million in the January-September period, as<br>\ncompared with $242 million in the corresponding period of last<br>\nyear.<\/p>\n<p>Visa currently has nine bank members in Indonesia, including<br>\nBank Bali, Bank Internasional Indonesia, Bank Niaga, Bank Lippo,<br>\nBank Central Asia and Bank Danamon.(04)<\/p>",
