        "content": "<p>Visa to Japan denied<\/p>\n<p>A few weeks ago I applied for a tourist visa to Japan at the<br>\nJapanese embassy in Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Along with the application I enclosed all the necessary<br>\ndocuments such as my passport (with more than six months left), a<br>\nletter of employment, a savings account book with more than<br>\nenough savings and other things.<\/p>\n<p>I was very confident that I would be able to obtain a tourist<br>\nvisa. However, my application was denied and, worse, my passport<br>\nwas stamped with Japanese Kanji writing. A friend told me that<br>\nthis indicates that I will not be allowed to enter Japan for a<br>\ncertain period of time.<\/p>\n<p>This stamped rejection without any explanation might cause me<br>\ndifficulties when entering other countries. I am very surprised<br>\nand can not understand it as I have traveled to Japan several<br>\ntimes. I am also a permanent resident of the United States and I<br>\nhave never been involved in any immigration case or any other<br>\ncase.<\/p>\n<p>I could have been informed verbally, or, if the rejection<br>\nstamp is necessary, proper reasons for the rejection should have<br>\nbeen given.<\/p>\n<p>EKA P.
