The General Manager of PT Virgo Karya Shipping, Yoel Rihi, emphasised\nthat the data they hold has been synchronised with port authorities and\nthe search team.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur manifest is always in accordance with the data from the KSOP\n(Harbour Master Office),\u201d said Yoel when met at the PT Virgo Karya\nShipping office in Surabaya on Monday (14\/9).<\/p>\n
Yoel claimed that the detailed data includes not only regular\npassengers but also specifies the number of personnel supporting the\nship\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur total manifest is 243. This consists of 30 crew members, 60\nwalking passengers who purchased economy or standard class tickets, and\n124 drivers and assistants,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The majority of KM Virgo\u2019s passengers originate from the logistics\nsector, specifically 124 truck drivers and assistants. Consequently, the\nvessel was also recorded as carrying 89 vehicles.<\/p>\n
Additionally, Yoel noted that there were 29 support workers,\nincluding cleaning staff, catering staff, and musicians.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe followers on this ship, besides the crew, such as cleaning,\ncatering, and musicians, total 29 people. Therefore, our total is 243,\u201d\nhe stated.<\/p>\n
Yoel also ensured that the figure of 243 people has been validated\nand is fully synchronised with the data held by the Search and Rescue\n(SAR) team.<\/p>\n
