A woman who went viral after being reported to frequently not pay for\nmeals and online motorcycle taxi services has resurfaced, creating a\ndisturbance at a restaurant in Central Jakarta (Jakpus).<\/p>\n
In a video circulating on social media, the woman was seen making a\nhand gesture and attempting to kneel in front of someone, but the person\nimmediately helped her up. The woman, wearing a black hoodie, was then\ntaken to a room where Civil Police (Satpol PP) and Social Services\n(Dinsos) officers were present.<\/p>\n
According to reports, the woman took food belonging to a restaurant\ncustomer on Thursday night, 26 February. The customer, realising their\nmeal had been taken, lodged a complaint with the restaurant. The\nrestaurant management subsequently confronted the woman and coordinated\nwith Satpol PP in the Gambir district for further action.<\/p>\n
Satriadi Gunawan, Head of Jakarta\u2019s Civil Police, confirmed that his\nofficers handled the woman. He stated she was taken to Duren Sawit\nMental Health Hospital in East Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Satpol PP brought the woman, identified as NSS (38 years old), to the\nhospital after receiving information that she was a person with mental\nhealth disorders (ODGJ). NSS underwent psychiatric testing. \u201cYes, she\nwas detained overnight and taken to Duren Sawit Mental Health Hospital\nfor psychiatric testing. We wanted to confirm whether she is indeed a\nperson with mental health disorders,\u201d said Satriadi on Friday, 27\nFebruary 2026.<\/p>\n
The outcome of NSS\u2019s psychiatric test remains unknown. Satriadi\nstated that Satpol PP was simply responding to public reports. \u201cSatpol\nPP assisted after investigation suggested she was a person with mental\nhealth disorders, so we brought her to the hospital for proper\nassessment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Frequent Location Changes<\/p>\n
The detained woman had previously been pursued by West Jakarta\u2019s\nSocial Services office (Sudinsos Jakbar). The woman is known for\nfrequently moving locations.<\/p>\n
\u201cAccording to information, the resident does move around frequently\nwhilst committing these acts, so we haven\u2019t yet caught her. Regarding\nthe current attention, we will strengthen surveillance at our monitoring\npoints,\u201d said Fajar Laksono, Head of Sudinsos Jakbar, as reported by\nAntara on Tuesday, 24 February.<\/p>\n
He acknowledged receiving multiple complaints and instructed Sudinsos\nJakbar officers to track down the woman, who is suspected to be a person\nin need of social welfare services (PPKS).<\/p>\n
\u201cRegarding reports about this resident, we have followed up. On\nWednesday, 21 January 2026, we conducted routine sweeps,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He noted that the tracking was conducted by the Social Services\nSupervision and Control Task Force (Satgas P3S) in Cengkareng and\nKalideres.
