A video showing a number of residents sitting cross-legged in front\nof the home of Indonesia\u2019s seventh President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), in\nSolo has been circulating on social media. Jokowi\u2019s aide, AKBP Syarif\nFitriansyah, confirmed the event took place.<\/p>\n
The video shows residents gathered, nearly filling the street in\nfront of Jokowi\u2019s home. They were reciting the profession of faith and\noffering prayers for the safety of the father of PSI Chairman Kaesang\nPangarep.<\/p>\n
\u201cMay he have a long life, may his life be blessed, and all of us\nBanyumas residents fully support him. God willing, may he remain strong\nin the face of slander and all challenges. Amen,\u201d said one woman in the\nvideo.<\/p>\n
AKBP Syarif confirmed the tahlilan at Jokowi\u2019s residence, stating\nthat the event took place last month, specifically on 18 January\n2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, that\u2019s correct, it was a tahlilan. It was on 18 January 2026.\nWe welcomed them and received their letter as well as their visit,\u201d\nSyarif said when contacted for confirmation on Thursday (19\/2\/2026).<\/p>\n
Syarif explained that on the same day, Jokowi had to fly to Jakarta\nearly in the morning to attend the wedding of President Prabowo\nSubianto\u2019s personal assistant, Agung Suherman. Jokowi was therefore\nunable to receive the extended family of the Hidayatul Khalil Islamic\nBoarding School from Rancamaya Village, Banyumas Regency, Central\nJava.<\/p>\n
\u201cHowever, at the same time, Mr Jokowi had to take off early in the\nmorning to Jakarta to attend and serve as a witness at the wedding of Mr\nPrabowo\u2019s personal assistant, Mas Agung Surahman. We had previously\ninformed them of Mr Jokowi\u2019s schedule at that time, but they still\ndecided to come,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, Syarif said Jokowi had no objections to the residents\u2019\nvisit. He stated that the former Jakarta Governor was also not disturbed\nby the tahlilan gathering in front of his residence.<\/p>\n

Syarif also shared several video clips of the residents holding the\nevent outside Jokowi\u2019s home. One representative could be heard\nexpressing gratitude.<\/p>\n
