A video showing Brigadier General Yuniar Dwi Hantono, Commander of\nKorem 072\/Pamungkas, forcibly pulling his aide into a marathon track in\nYogyakarta has gone viral on social media. The 25-second video, widely\ncirculated across various platforms, shows a man identified as the\nDanrem\u2019s aide being pulled out of the running track by a marshal because\nhe was not wearing a BIB number or chest number proving race\nparticipation. Shortly afterwards, Yuniar, who was running, appeared and\nforcibly pulled his aide back into the race. A tug-of-war ensued between\nthe marshal and the Danrem, with the Danrem pointing at the marshal as\nhe again pulled the aide off the track.<\/p>\n
\"At the Mandiri Jogja Marathon 2026 event, a person without a bib\nnumber was asked to leave the track by committee officials. Not long\nafter, a runner forced that person to re-enter the track. Respect for\nthe committee,\" read a post from the X account @txtruangpodcast<\/span> that uploaded the\nvideo.<\/p>\n When asked for confirmation, Head of Public Relations for Korem\n072\/Pamungkas, Infantry Major Suwito, confirmed the incident, stating\nthe matter had been resolved amicably. \"It was just a misunderstanding,\nand both parties have forgiven each other,\" Suwito explained.<\/p>\n In a written statement, Suwito detailed the chronology of the event.\n\"Brigadier General Yuniar Dwi Hantono, along with his wife, one child,\nand one aide, participated in the activity as registered participants\nusing four general tickets they owned and were officially registered\nlike other participants,\" Suwito stated. \"Based on the explanation\nobtained, the aide accompanying the Danrem had also been participating\nfrom the start using a participant number (BIB). However, during the\nevent, it is suspected that the participant number came off while on the\ncrowded track, causing a misunderstanding during the check by\nofficials.\"<\/p>\n Suwito said that after the incident, the organisers, event organiser,\nand Danrem 072\/Pamungkas held direct communication and clarification.\nAccording to him, all parties understand that the incident was purely a\ntechnical issue on the ground and has been resolved properly. \"We\nappreciate the professionalism of the committee and officials who\ncarried out their duties according to procedure to maintain order during\nthe event, while also respecting the organisers\u2019 swift action in\nclarifying the matter so that no prolonged misunderstanding occurred in\nthe public sphere,\" he said. \"In principle, the relationship between\nKorem 072\/Pamungkas and the event organisers remains good.
