A brawl between two women at Ngurah Rai International Airport in
Badung, Bali, has gone viral on social media. The fight, suspected to
stem from an online arisan scam, is now being handled by the Bali
Regional Police (Polda Bali).

The Head of Public Relations of Polda Bali, Commissioner Ariasandy,
stated that the brawl involved two women with the initials NWW and NS.
NWW, believed to be the victim of the online arisan, has filed two
reports with Polda Bali.

“After the incident, the complainant or victim reported to Polda
Bali, reporting the occurrence of assault. Then, she reported again
regarding fraud or deceitful acts against the suspect. So there are two
reports,” said Ariasandy when met by detikBali on Wednesday
(22/4/2026).

Origin of the Brawl

The brawl occurred in the Domestic Departure Terminal area of Ngurah
Rai Airport on Monday (20/4/2026) around 2:00 PM WITA. At that time, NWW
met NS who was about to depart for Japan.

The meeting aimed to inquire about the arisan money amounting to Rp
244,580,000 that had not been returned by NS. However, the situation
heated up as the two walked side by side. NS allegedly pushed with her
elbow, which was then retaliated by NWW with a single punch to NS’s
head.

The commotion continued when NS tried to throw her suitcase but was
prevented by airport staff. The two were then briefly secured at the
airport security post but failed to reach a resolution.

When NS insisted on departing, NWW held her back by hugging from
behind. NS then fought back by twisting NWW’s fingers until she let go.
NWW then pushed NS until she fell.

After that, NS retaliated by punching NWW’s head, scratching her face
causing an injury on the left cheek, and pulling her hair.

“That was the root of the problem leading to the argument and then a
physical fight there. The complainant suffered a scratch wound on her
face. And felt pain in the head area,” explained Ariasandy.

The Underlying Issue

The case began when NWW joined an online arisan group named ‘Arisan
Twins SJ’ on 16 July 2025. NS is said to be the administrator of the
group. NS offered arisan slots with an auction system and promised
profits within one to two months.

From August to December 2025, NWW transferred a total of Rp
448,870,000 to an account linked to NS. However, the promised profits
were not fully provided. Feeling disadvantaged, NWW eventually reported
the alleged fraud to Polda Bali.

Police Investigate the Case

Polda Bali is still delving into the case, including the possibility
of other victims in the alleged bogus investment.

“The number of victims is still under investigation by the Criminal
Investigation Directorate of Polda Bali,” said Ariasandy.

Ariasandy advised the public to be more cautious with investment or
online arisan offers that promise large profits in a short time.

“The public should be more careful. If there is an invitation
promising big profits, it is best to check its validity and legality
thoroughly before participating,” urged Ariasandy.
",
