        "content": "<p>Villagers return home<\/p>\n<p>JAYAWIJAYA, Irian Jaya: Some 500 residents of Geselama village<br>\nhave started returning home after fleeing in May during army<br>\noperations to free hostages held by local rebels, Antara reported<br>\nyesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The army said it will continue to hunt rebels in the dense<br>\nforests of the Jayawijaya mountain range where nine hostages --<br>\nfour Britons, two Dutch nationals and three Indonesians -- were<br>\nheld for four months before being freed on May 15.<\/p>\n<p>Two Indonesian hostages were killed by their abductors before<br>\nthe army's special force soldiers found the group.<\/p>\n<p>Army spokesman Lt. Gen. Maulud Hidayat said in Jayapura, Irian<br>\nJaya, that the villagers were \"loyal followers\" of the Free Papua<br>\nMovement whose leaders, Kelly Kwalik and Daniel Kogoya, led the<br>\nkidnap.<\/p>\n<p>He said the rebels had incited them to leave the village to<br>\nhide in the jungle.<\/p>\n<p>The government would provide returning villagers food, clothes<br>\nand health and education services at a traditional ceremony, he<br>\nsaid.
