I am an owner of a house in the Villa Permata complex in
\nTangerang, West Java. In July 1995 my house was burglarized but
\nup until now the developer has not accounted for the incident.
\nThe burglars forced their way into the house through the window
\nof the kitchen. This mishap occurred in spite the fact that my
\nhouse is only a stone's throw from the security post.<\/p>\n
When I reported the case to the security staff I got an
\nunbelievable reaction. They accused me of making up a story and
\nangrily asked me what I wished to do. When I met the head of the
\nmarketing office of the project to report the case he promised to
\nlook into the matter but nothing has happened so far.<\/p>\n
I pay the security contribution regularly but there is no
\nguarantee that the complex is free from criminal acts. The
\nmarketing brochures apparently contain empty promises just to
\nentice consumers into buying fenceless American style homes.<\/p>\n
