        "content": "<p>Vietnam-RI tax treaty<\/p>\n<p>HANOI (AFP): Vietnam and Indonesia were scheduled to sign a<br>\ntreaty on the avoidance of double taxation late yesterday, a<br>\nsource from the Indonesian Embassy said.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesian Ambassador Mohammad Ma'Ruf and Vietnamese Finance<br>\nMinister Nguyen Sinh Hung would sign the accord which included<br>\npersonal income tax, profit tax and profit remittance tax.<\/p>\n<p>The accord will help Indonesian companies and expatriates<br>\nworking in Vietnam better compete with other foreign entities<br>\noperating here.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia is currently ranked 18th among foreign investors in<br>\nVietnam with some 13 projects worth US$241 million approved.<\/p>\n<p>The accord between the two members of the Association of<br>\nSoutheast Asian Nations (ASEAN), to which Vietnam was admitted in<br>\n1995, is in keeping with requirements of the ASEAN Free Trade<br>\nArea (AFTA) agreement.<\/p>",
