        "content": "<p>The national motorcycle industry has welcomed the National Electric\nMotorcycle (MOLINAS) programme, inaugurated by President Prabowo\nSubianto, which is expected to provide a significant boost to the\ndevelopment of the local electric motorcycle business.<\/p>\n<p>However, the certainty of rules, regulations, and the implementation\nmechanisms of the Molinas programme remains a challenge for\nentrepreneurs seeking to drive the progress of the national electric\nmotorcycle industry.<\/p>\n<p>The Acting Deputy for Coordination of Industry, Labour &amp; Tourism\nat the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Dida Gardera, stated\nthat the Indonesian government is highly committed to developing the\nelectric motorcycle industry and its ecosystem as an effort to stimulate\nthe economy while simultaneously reducing Indonesia\u2019s carbon\nemissions.<\/p>\n<p>Two major steps are required to build the Molinas ecosystem,\ninvolving both the formation of the ecosystem itself and its integration\nwith the national electric car programme. Currently, the government is\nfinalising Molinas regulations to provide certainty for both the\nindustry and users.<\/p>\n<p>The government is encouraging the production of Molinas motorcycles\nwith a minimum Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of 40%, which is set to\nincrease to 60% by 2027. Furthermore, the government will incentivise\nthe construction of Molinas factories to complete the national electric\nmotorcycle ecosystem.<\/p>",
