        "content": "<p>The Chairman of Commission XII of the House of Representatives (DPR\nRI), Bambang Patijaya, addressed the current situation regarding rolling\nblackouts occurring in several areas across Java, Bali, and Madura.<\/p>\n<p>Bambang noted that rolling blackouts in Java, Madura, and Bali are\nrare occurrences, given that these transmission networks are vital\nregions where energy supply continuity must be maintained. Based on\nmonitoring by the DPR RI, two causes have been identified: two power\nplants are currently undergoing maintenance, and there is a supply issue\nregarding medium-calorific coal (4,200-4,500 kcal\/kg), even though\ndomestic coal supplies under the Domestic Market Obligation (DMO) are\nconfirmed to be sufficient.<\/p>\n<p>To resolve this issue, the supply of medium-calorific coal will be\nprovided by major producers such as PTBA and Adaro, ensuring that PLN\u2019s\nelectricity supply issues are recovered gradually.<\/p>\n<p>Bambang also reminded business actors to ensure compliance with DMO\ncoal regulations to guarantee the national energy supply. Moving\nforward, the DPR RI will provide space for both business actors and PLN\nto maintain a balance and conduct evaluations between supply and\npricing.<\/p>",
